  • Modifying existing electrical equipment within the site’s equipment building.
  • Performing site improvements, removal of existing lift station facilities, and modification of the precast concrete wet well.
  • Completing pre-startup, startup, and operational demonstration testing of all systems, followed by a seven-day live test to verify full performance.

Community Benefit

The Skinner 1 Lift Station Replacement provides substantial benefits to the surrounding community by modernizing critical wastewater infrastructure. The new prefabricated lift station, submersible pumps, and upgraded electrical and control systems enhance reliability, reduce maintenance downtime, and ensure compliance with current safety and operational standards.

By replacing aging facilities and incorporating a standby diesel generator, the project strengthens resilience during power outages and emergencies, safeguarding public health and protecting the environment. Additionally, the improvements increase system capacity and operational efficiency, supporting future growth in the service area and enabling the District to continue delivering safe and dependable wastewater service to both residents and businesses.
