Under very difficult site conditions, Caliagua constructed a new underground sewage lift station for the City of Corona, CA.

The scope of work was to build a new sewage lift station 44L. x 20W. x 20 deep while bypassing sewage flows to an existing manhole with temporary sewage pumps and controls during the course of construction.

Project details included construction of a new sewage lift station with two new pumps, mechanical pipe, valves, fittings, CIP reinforced underground concrete structure with new wet well and dry well.  Finally, we applied chemical resistant coatings.  This job included installation of HVAC, working with miscellaneous metals, electrical,  instrumentation, and telemetry.

Construction for the new lift station included building of:

  • Demolition of existing structure
  • Heavy earthwork and shoring
  • Building a dry well and wet well

Installation of:

  • Underground mechanical piping
  • Sewage pumps
  • HVAC
  • Miscellaneous metals
  • Electrical, instrumentation, and telemetry
  • Application of corrosion resistant coating at the wet well, waterproofing
  • Operation of an overhead crane and trolley with hoist.
