Orange Wells #20, #21, #22
Orange County Water District: PFAs Treatment #464
Project Details
Currently the City of Orange is unable to utilize their local wells 20, 21, and 22 due to the PFAS contaminants in the underground water aquifer. Caliagua has been contracted by the Orange County Water District (OCWD) to install (3) separate and turnkey PFAS treatment systems at each well site. The project includes the demolition of the existing well pump facilities, underground piping, electrical, site work, and chlorine buildings. Caliagua will be installing (3) vertical turbine well pumps & motors along with new structural concrete and discharge piping. The PFAS treatment facilities will consist of new cartridge filters, Ion Exchange (IX) Vessels for PFAS treatment, chlorine chemical injection piping, CMU chemical buildings, chlorine storage tanks, and structural concrete. In conjunction with the treatment system, we will also be replacing all electrical & instrumentation infrastructure and integrating with the City of Orange’s existing SCADA system. We will be working closely with the City of Orange’s Water Department who will be the end user and operator of the new treatment system to allow for clean water to be locally sourced and delivered to their residents.
